Host Norman Analista provided one of the
highlights of the night by hosting a version of
"Pero o Bayong," a popular game show on the
Filipino Channel. My brother John ultimately became the
last one standing and had to choose between $12 or a bag
that could have forced him to sing. He chose the bag, and
lucky for him, got a free subscription to Marine Drive
magazine! The fun didn't stop there, we also had the magic of John Blaz to entertain the kids. The bouquet and garter toss were also an entertaining point of the night. My sister's teenage neighbor, Christina, had the advantage of height as she caught the bouquet. As for the garter toss, it was a photo finish. Groomsman Akash Shringi also had the advantage of height to reach for the garter. Even though my mom was hoping it would happen, my brother John was a couple of inches too short to catch the garter. Then came the most nerve wracking time of the night for us -- we performed the foxtrot as our first dance! My friend Maeann Santos choreographed the steps for us, but we didn't take into account my fluffy dress. I'm sure our timing was so off, but we had fun! And of course there was the traditional money dance. It was the time in the night when Carlo and I had the first opportunity to thank people personally as they danced with us. While I was grateful for the money pinned, I think I speak for the both of us in saying that we just had fun talking to our guests. We are so blessed by all the support we received in making our wedding such a special time for us. We thank all who shared our special night. |
