NAPWA advises know your drugs

The National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) Health and Treatment Department has developed a new reference guide to current and future antiretroviral therapies.
The guide is called "Do You Know Your Options? A Guide to Antiretroviral Therapies."
The guide explores each class of antiretroviral drugs (nucleoside analogues, protease inhibitors and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors). How do they act? When are they indicated? How are they used? How safe are they? Will your body tolerate them?
The guide discusses the similarities and differences within each class and the rationale for the drug combinations.
Members of NAPWA should receive copies soon.
If you are not a member of NAPWA or have not received your copy by early February, call Arrow (734-4080) and we will try to get one for you.
