Our Mission

Friends Needed!

Friends are a necessary part of life, for institutions as well as people. The Friends ofthe Guam Public Library are dedicated to supporting library services through community involvement, volunteer service, advocacy, and fundraising. A strong and vital Friends organization shows evidence of Guam's support for its library.

As a Friend,

you will help improve your library by:

• fundraising to buy special equipment otherwise not available for the library. assisting in efforts to welcome the island's diverse
• population to the library.
  
• assisting in literacy programs. hosting teacher events.
  
• promoting favorable library legislature at the local and national levels.

Friends NEVER

• do the work of the library staff.
  
• set library policy.
  
• expect more from you than you are able to give!
