President/Chairperson: Lorie
Dudley-Yu
Responsible for overseeing and leading the chapter
's development and operations. This is usually the Founder who possesses strong skills in leadership,
Web marketing, and communication skills. The
Chairperson/Founder of a chapter clearly
understands the objectives and "vision" of a
chapter's operation, and is self-motivated to see
it carried out. This individual must be committed to the goals
and objectives of the Chapter and able to dedicate a
great deal of time overseeing operations.

Vice Chairperson: Jean
Marie Ellis
Assists chairperson in developing and achieving the chapter's goals.
Works closely with the committee chairs to ensure their
duties are carried through. Must also be committed to
the goals and objectives of the Chapter and able to work
closely with the Chairperson in overseeing operations,
particularly in the Chairperson's absence. |

Secretary: Open Position
Responsible for keeping records of the leadership team
meetings and chapter functions. Maintain current records
of general chapter membership status. Records and distributes
minutes to all executive committee members and the chapter
membership. Arranges for meeting rooms. Assists
the Chairperson in the preparation of the Chapter newsletter.
Also assists the chairperson with all correspondence and in
the keeping of the Chapter "Guidelines" Manual. Treasurer: Open Position
Charged with obtaining and overseeing sponsorship of the
chapter in partnership with the PR committee. A Chapter cannot
accept cash, products, donations, or dues from any company or
individual. It is of particular importance that the
Treasurer verifies that all sponsors fulfill their commitments
to the Chapter. The Treasurer is also responsible for sending
thank-you letters to sponsors.
Committees
Professional Networking Chair: Open
Position
Responsible for developing chapter activities and
methods to foster professional networking
opportunities between members, community,
businesses and employers. Coordinates closely with the Events
Committee to plan events at which members and guests may
network easily. Encourages members to volunteer as IWA
representatives during trade shows, conferences, and local
business organizations.
Web Site Developer/Webmaster (s): Open
Position
Work with chapter's board and
membership to design and maintain a Web site that
represents the chapter's objectives. This committee will also
be charged with the design and development of the Chapter's
Awards Logo and will assist in the organization of the Awards
Ceremony in conjunction with the Board, PR committee and the
Events Committee. Membership Chair: Open Position
Responsible for the development and implementation of the chapter's membership plan that promotes the
objectives of the chapter. This
includes the following: building membership, promoting
the services of professional members to businesses
and employers, and building goodwill within the
community.
Public Relations Chair: Open Position
Maintains the flow of news/information to and from
chapter membership. Provides information to the Web site
committee for the chapter site.
Serves as chapter's newsletter editor who
coordinates and solicits incoming news from
members, businesses, community and the
Web Profession Enzine team. Works closely with the
Membership Chair to prepare announcements to area IWA members
for all events. Responsible for securing media coverage
for IWA International, the local chapter, and specific
events. Sends press releases for all chapter events,
including online and offline meetings and the initial
formation of the chapter.
Events Chair: Open Position
This individual must be extremely dedicated to the
organization and its goals. Must be able well organized
and adept at project planning. Works closely with their
committee members to plan events that will promote the goals
of the Chapter. This could possibly include: dinners,
holiday parties, seminars, discussion panels, awards
ceremonies, community service, trade show participation and
more. The Chair of this committee must work closely with all
other committee chairs as they additionally each play a role
in the happenings within the chapter. Professional Development Chair: Open
Position
Oversees PD committee to review and recommend
Certified and Senior member applicants. Identifies
local educational resources including universities,
trade schools, and training centers and provides
this information through the maintenance of the
educational resource section of chapter's site. Promotes IWA
through seminars with local business associations and chambers
of commerce.
