Behold this, our amazing Blue Planet, gracefully hung in the vastness of Space; so very different from its neighbors near and far; blessed with an abundance of water; and with exactly the proper combination of gases to allow it to teem with a plethora of life forms. With our modern science and technology, we have begun to scan the depths of Space, just hoping to find another planet that is similar to our own; a planet which may also harbor some form of life as we know and understand it. But thus far, despite our current endeavors to break through the veil of darkness and silence, we appear to have come up empty-handed. So we must ask ourselves: Is this, our beloved Blue Planet, Earth, really that unique? If this is indeed the case, is it possible that there may be some unspoken message that needs to be understood in this profound mystery? Furthermore, are we being responsible caretakers of this wonderful Blue Planet, this Blue Jewel we call Earth, which we have been given?
