Assistant Principal - Curriculum

After persevering for nineteen years at DOE--- with the last four spent in an administrative capacity--- Mrs. Margaret Camacho has ascertained the basic needs of the schools. After working for JFK intermittently for six years, she comments that she came to Sanchez for a new professional challenge. As the Assistant Principal for curriculum, she feels that with faculty change comes curriculum change, and both aligned to reflect the changing nature of students. "(Sanchez) It's moving in that direction," she said. "It's very structured right now.. needs more flexibility." Camacho notes, however, that students, faculty, and staff of Sanchez are very congenial and open to change. "I like the cohesiveness of the school. 'United' would be a good word... cooperation and camaraderie between faculty." She admits that she never had Sanchez in mind and that she just needed a change. Is she staying? "I hope so. I really like it here. I wouldn't like it anyplace else."
