Ms. Patricia Taitano
Assistant Principal - Discipline
Mrs. Patricia S.N. Taitano, the Assistant Principal for discipline, has been an educator for ten years. Having taught at JFK for the last three years, she serves her first term as an administrator for the Department of Education this year. Although she reflected on a friendly staff at Sanchez and students who, compared to those in JFK, have fewer disciplinary problems; she mentioned a need for school focus on curriculum. "Hopefully," she adds to this, "We can get some sort of activity or entertainment during lunch time... play music." She also expressed her intent of drawing faculty out on what works for classroom management. Another of her concerns is public relations; the need for Sanchez to make a greater positive impact on the community. Considering her progression from JFK to Sanchez as a challenge, Taitano likes learning new things and enjoys new undertakings. "Where I stay and how I feel about the assignment is partly influenced by who I work for and who I work with."
