Assistant Principal - Attendance

A familiar woman now walks our hallways as the Assistant Principal for attendance. Prompted by her need for professional growth, Mrs. Yolanda Gabriel wanted this transition from a teaching to administration, since, "the need is now." She finds the staff to be very warm and supportive, as was the case three years ago when she was a newcomer to the Math department. Disturbed by the negative impact of truancy, she has set as one of her goals the rewarding of dependable students. Indeed, she sees no real difference between her responsibilities then and now. "Before, I (was) only responsible for the attendance of 120 students. Now, I'm responsible for all the students in school."
