Prerequisite: Keyboarding/Word Processing I or Typing I with a "C" or better.
Course Description: This course gives the student additional experience in arranging and typing correspondence and reports used in office with the use of the computer and WordPerfect program.
Course Objectives: 1. Use other formatting features such as merging, highlighting, creating macros, etc. for reports , letters tables, forms, etc. 2. Format various documents(federal government report, political campaign letters, financial reports, letters, tables, forms, etc.). 3. Demonstrate keyboarding accuracy and speed on straight copy with a goal of 60 words a minute by the end of the year.

Course Activities: Formatting form letters, coupon letters, brochures, financial statements, news release, creating business forms (such as invoices, purchase orders, request for quotation. etc.) Legal documents (such as final decree of adoption, property deeds, etc.)
Word processing will be the initial learning using WordPerfect 5.1. The length of time spent on this learning will depend on the class progress as a whole. All of first quarter and possibly part of second quarter will be devoted to the learning and aquiring efficiancy in word processing procedures.
