In reference to Board Policy 411, students who incur 11 or more unexcused absences during 1st or 2nd semester cannot receive a passing grade or will be given an NC (no credit) on their report card.

Make-up Work:

It is your responsibility to ask for any make-up work for the days absent from class.  Make-up work will be given to those with excuse absences only.  Ask for make-up work at the beginning of class time or at the end of class time.  Make-up work must be completed and turned in within one week upon return from any absences.

Make-up Quiz & Tests:

Make-up quizzes and tests will be given to those with excused absences only.  It is your responsibility to ask for any make-up quiz or test.   Make-up quizzes and tests may be taken only during lunch time.

Assignments:

An agenda will be written on the board to let you know what we will be doing for the class period.  Most of the assignments given will be due at the end of class.   Composition books will be used for 75% of classroom work and will remain in class unless there is homework assigned.  5 points will be deducted for any paper turned in without Name, Date, and Period.

Assignments will be recorded on a calendar to let you know if you are on task with classroom work.  Due dates for any homework or project will be posted on the calendar, as well as quizzes and tests.
