Trigonometry/Analytical Geometry

 

Course Number : MA301 (1 Elective Credit)

 

Prerequisite:

Successful completion of Algebra II and Geometry or teacher recommendation.

Course Description:

This is a full year's course based on a working knowledge of algebra and geometry with emphasis on angles and circular functions. The course uses both algebra and geometry.

Trigonometry, Charles P. McKeague, Saunders College Publishing (a Harcourt Brace College Publisher), 1994

Materials Needed:

The student is required to supply the following items when they come to class everyday:

Instructional Method:

Class periods will be conducted in the following manner: attendance will be taken (refer to the attendance policy found in the student handbook), coverage of new material in lecture type, exploratory chalkboard examples, student-teacher discussions, assignment, announced/surprised quizzes, reviews, tests, exams, and group activities.

Mid-quarter and weekly progress reports will be issued to students. Parents are required to sign and have their child return the reports to their teachers. These documents will be documented for future references. Parent-teacher conferences will be held every 1st and 3rd quarters; parents are encouraged to attend.

Daily Assignments: 1 Test Score

Quizzes: 1 Test Score

Tests: 1 Test Score

Exam (qtr and/or sem. ): 2 Tests Score

Notebook : 1 Test Score

Projects: 1 Test Score

 

NOTE: Extra Credit will not be given on an individual basis.
