DISCIPLINE PLAN
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
I will be your childs Spanish teacher
this year. In order to guarantee your child and all the students
in my classroom the excellent educational climate they deserve, I
have developed a Discipline Plan that will be in effect at all
times.
When in the classroom, students must comply
with the following rules:
- Come to class prepared with all materials
(book, workbook, pen or pencil, paper, etc.) and
asssignments. Avoid borrowing from others.
- Be in your seat and ready to work once the
tardy bell rings. (3 unexcused tardies equals 1 unexcused
absence.)
- Follow directions the first time they are
given.
- Complete all assingnments and make-up work
on time.
- Raise your hand and wait to be recognized
before speaking.
- Remain in your seat at all times, unless
permission is given. Hold on to your trash until the end
of the period. Youll be given at least 3 minutes at
the end of the period to get rid of it, as well as to
gather your things together for departure. Remember, the
teacher has the final authority to dismiss you from class
not the bell.
- No sleeping, eating, drinking, gum, or
betel nut chewing , no wearing of hats or sunglasses, and
no cell phones or pagers allowed in class.
- Avoid the temptation of
"cheating" at all costs. Strictly observe
the following rules while taking a quiz, test, or exam:
- Absolutely NO TALKING.
Raise your hand if you have any questions.
- Keep your eyes on your own paper
at all times.
- Keep your paper flat on your desk
and covered whenever possible.
The consequences of not following these rules
will result in:
- Immediate referral to the
principal for academic dishonesty
- Mandatory parental contact.
- A grade or 0 (zero) on that quiz,
test or exam
- A conduct grade of U
(unsatisfactory) on the report card.
- RESPECT yourself, others, and their
property.
- OBSERVE, FOLLOW and RESPECT all School
rules as presented in the student handbook.
