*This school year, tennis was a third quarter sport, and it was offered to both males and females.

* Sanchez, along with other public schools started the sports seasons at a rough start. This was due to the fact that the Department of Education stopped the funding for public school sports. This left Sanchez starting out the season independently in the season.

*Many of the tennis team members are well-rounded; they are active in their academics and school organizations. Many athletes are not to be considered the typical "jock." Some are members of the National Honor Society, the Principal's Leadership Society, Student Council, Choir, and various other school and community-based activities. Many of the tennis members rank in the top 5% of their class population... At Sanchez, academics are a priority.

*The "returning" team members (or those proficient in the sport) were: Jeff Estoy, Ehrine Manzana, Elizabeth Anderson, Rizalyn Bugarin, Olivia Rivera, and Billie Jean Hayes. The "newcomers" were: Julian Aguon, Noe Sauro, Shelley Celeste, Joe Dimla, Eileen Hesus, Terry Maggallanes, Jessica Pineda, Mary Jane Tabios, Joan Unsay, Michael Huang, Larissa Pangelinan, and Antoinette Realica.
